Reef Consultants is an independent, non-profit research platform focused on applied marine ecology and emerging challenges in coastal ecosystems. We specialize in the study of invasive marine species and the conservation of marine fishes in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea.
The platform builds on extensive scientific experience, including peer-reviewed publications and academic book contributions. We aim to generate actionable knowledge that supports both marine ecosystem resilience and innovative, sustainable resource use.
We welcome collaboration with research institutions, NGOs, and selected partners in the fisheries and gastronomy sectors.

Reef Consultants leverages over two decades of specialized marine experience to address the urgent ecological challenges of the Mediterranean.
Our current Lionfish Project is backed by more than 20 years of hands-on experience diving with Lionfish across diverse marine environments. This extensive history includes close-proximity monitoring and behavioral observation, providing a unique tactical understanding of the species.
By combining this deep operational expertise with a decade of longitudinal study from our Red Sea Anemonefish Monitoring, we apply a high-precision, field-tested approach to biodiversity conservation.
